This past week, we wrapped up a dynamic and insightful 3-hour pre-conference workshop centered on openBIM Business Value — and what a session it was!

Held ahead of the BIM Forum Conference in São Paulo, Brasil, this invitation-only workshop brought together a diverse group of thought leaders and practitioners to dive deep into the real-world impact of openBIM.

We kicked off with eight proven categories of openBIM benefits, analyzed the importance of targets and metrics, and engaged in an in-depth, collaborative effort to prioritize a comprehensive list of openBIM metrics.

After a thought-provoking and sometimes passionate exchange, consensus emerged: the top two benefit categories of openBIM, as identified by our international group of experts, are:
