Approach

SBI led the "Seeing is Believing" initiative on behalf of buildingSMART USA, designed as a foundation for buildingSMART International's infrastructure accelerator program. The initiative brought together solution seekers, providers, and facilitators to share early openBIM experiments and build a compelling, evidence-based case for adoption. The inaugural event at Stanford University defined program objectives and spotlighted success stories from infrastructure experts worldwide. A second event at the Oracle Innovation Lab advanced the program further, featuring live openBIM demonstrations using real models across different solutions to illustrate practical, day-to-day applicability. The program engaged 2 facilitators, resources from 2 US Departments of Transportation, and 3 solution providers, creating a collaborative proving ground for open standards in infrastructure delivery.
